Maybe. In guild groups / mythic it won't be a big problem since you can just say he is at the south-east or at mark blue (which people will understand after progressing for a while). So if they hide minimap pings during this encounter they will mostly hurt PUGs which I don't think is anything they want to do.

At that point, you are unable to block enough Rain of the Destroyer attacks to prevent the platform from being destroyed after the second one goes out. You’ll need to push out about 130k DPS on the Avatar alone in order to not be killed by the lava. Kil'jaeden is the final boss of the Tomb of Sargeras raid, dropping loot 10 ilvls higher than the other bosses (895 LFR, 910 Normal, 925 Heroic, 940 Mythic).
